Design Partner

Alex Head Landscapes works hand in hand with professional landscape designer Sarah Westlund of Dig In Design.  Sarah is an innovative  designer with  a true love of the natural world and extensive knowledge in the field.  Her active involvement in the industry allows her to stay at the forefront of design trends and improved plant selections.  Sarah's creative landscape design approach married with Alex's horticultural expertise combine to produce enduring landscapes thoughtfully composed of  texture, color, and movement.

Details make the difference.  Alex Head Landscapes strives for a long term customer relationship.  Every job is treated as if it was our own home.  Our owner and founder Alex Head is on site to manage and work alongside our quality-oriented team.  Careful attention is given to every aspect of the installation to ensure that you will be happy and your landscape will thrive.

We source our plant materials from only the best local suppliers that put quality first.  Additionally, we hand select most items before installation - lots of time and effort is put into selecting premium grade plants for each landscape.

  Garden Lighting

One of our specialties is low- voltage landscape lighting systems.  Landscape (or Garden) lighting is becoming increasingly popular for enhancing the night landscape.  Many clients find that they are spending most of their time at home after dusk - why not enjoy your landscape and outdoor living spaces?  In addition to its aesthetic appeal, landscape lighting can also enhance the safety and security for the outside of your home by lighting pathways, steps, and entryways.

We use only commercial-grade components that are built to last and are manufactured in the United States (Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting).  Each system is carefully designed to allow for future expansion as your landscape needs change.  Additionally, every system is fully automated using digital timers and day/night photocells.

We also offer at-home night lighting demos.  This helps the client visualize what their landscape lighting will look like and to tweak fixture placement before the actual installation.  There is a fee for this demonstration.
